The mission of AMVETS (American Veterans) Department of Florida Service Foundation, Inc. (ADFSF) is to honor and support veterans daily. We do this by advocating to improve their quality of life, their families, and the communities they live in. We do this by providing leadership and direct support for programs that benefit veterans. We support Veterans State Nursing Homes, provide scholarship grants to children of veterans, members of Junior ROTC in high schools, colleges, and universities and award Boy Scouts of America reaching the rank of Eagle Scout throughout the State of Florida. We provide education and services through our local posts. We provide hardship assistance to AMVET Veterans and their families when in need. Most important, we provide disaster relief assistance to our AMVETS family members devastated by State and Federal named Hurricanes.

Welcome to the Department of Florida AMVETS Service Foundation. The Florida AMVETS Service Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit incorporated within the State of Florida.  We exist solely to serve Florida’s Veterans.  We help veterans with emergency hardship grants for those with immediate needs, matching funds for veterans’ projects, scholarships, and more.  We also developed and administer/manage the Disaster Relief Program for the AMVETS of Florida family.

In conjunction with the National AMVETS Service Foundation, our Thrift Stores offer the public household goods and clothing at discounted prices. The proceeds from our store sales allow us to provide programs that benefit our veterans.

We offer several Scholarships on an annual basis to enable them to get an education.

Through our Americanism program, we work in conjunction with AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary and the Freedoms Foundation to educate our youth on America’s history to instill national pride and patriotism.

If you or someone you know is a veteran seeking assistance, please contact your local AMVETS post, or contact us through this website.  We are Veterans Serving Veterans and “Every day is Veterans Day!”
